Contract: Maury Edwards

ERC Ingolstadt signed Maury Edwards. The 31-year old Rock Rapids (CAN) native is an offensive minded defensman and joins the Panthers after three years wit league rival Straubing Tigers. ERC's Sport Director Larry Mitchell sees Edwards' strengthes in his skating and hard shot. "He is a right shooting D who will make our powerplay more productive."

Ingolstadt fans already know what Edwards can do: The 1,81 meter tall and 80 kilogramm heavy defenseman scored 7 goals and 6 assists in 14 duels with the Panthers. All together, Edwards ended up twice in three years with about 30 points.

Edwards says: "Playing for Ingolstadt Panthers is a great opportunity. I admire the team and the way it plays. I want to prove myself. It is going to be a change. Ingolstadt is not far away from Straubing, but it is going to be a change for my family and me. I talked to Sean Sullivan (Ingolstadt D-man whom he played with in Straubing). He really enjoys it in Ingolstadt and loves playing for the team."
