Relegation in 2019/20?

The German top league DEL and the second league DEL2 take a third try to fix a relegation/promotion system. Like it is demanded in a contract between the two leagues, six teams from DEL2 have submitted their documents to DEL, namely Löwen Frankfurt, Kassel Huskies, Bietigheim Steelers, Dresdner Eislöwen, SC Riessersee and Heilbronner Falken.

An indipendent lawyer unit will check the documents. In case there is no complaint to make, there could be a system with relegation and promotion for the first time since 2006.
