"The Joker" with ERC till 2020
Jochen Reimer will play for ERC Ingolstadt until 2020. Sports Director Larry Mitchell says: "With Timo Pielmeier and Jochen Reimer, we can rely on a strong duo between the pipes."
Reimer joined ERC in summer after three years in Nuremberg. The two-times awarded DEL Goalie of the year helped the Panthers to win the preparation tournament Gäuboden-Volksfest-Cup. Plus, the "Joker" ended the shootout curse under which suffered Ingolstadt for about two and a half years.
The 32-year old Mindelheim, Bavaria native had a perfect start into DEL with a shutout in his very first game in the Panther-jersey. As today, Reimer played 19 games for Ingolstadt with a SVS of 91%.
"Jochen has a high standing in the locker room and is one of our leaders", says Mitchell. "He fits well into the ERC-family, with him and his wife Brooke bringing in tons of effort into Ingolstadt hockey."
