Jakub Ficenec retires

Club legend and former German and Czech international Jakub Ficenec has offically announced his retirement. The defender, called "Bum Bum" for his rocket-like shot, has the most occurences in ERC's history in the first German league DEL. With 117 goals (Nr. 2 in ERC history) and 263 assists (Nr. 1 in ERC history) in eleven years, Ficenec has had a huge impact on the greatest successes of the Panthers. E.g. the Cup Win in 2005 and the German Championship in 2014.

"I would like to thank everybody for all the outstanding years", says Ficenec. "I had the best time ever in Ingolstadt where I have felt home, where I constructed a house and where my son got born." His jersey will be lifted to the roof of Saturn Arena on the upcoming Friday, when the Panthers start into their new season. Ficenec' Nr. 38 will be blocked forever.

Thank you for all the years and the brilliant time together, Jakub!
