Irmen and Buchwieser leave Ingolstadt

Danny Irmen and Martin Buchwieser will not play for ERC Ingolstadt in 2017/18. Further contract with Darryl Boyce have been postponed.

Irmen and Buchwieser
After the elimination in the first playoff round, Ingolstadt already decided to go split ways with nine players. Now, after talks, it has become clear that Irmen and Buchwieser look for new challenges. ERC Ingolstadt would like to thank them for their effort in the Panther-jersey and wish all the best for their carreer and private life.

Irmen came from Hockey Thurgau (NLB) in 2015. The 32-year old US-American came back hard after a mediocre first season and finished 2016/17 with 19 goals. Only Thomas Oppenheimer equalized this score. Irmen was selected "Panther of the month" in November 2016.
Buchwieser joined ERC in 2016 after his organisation, Hamburg Freezers, ceased operations. The 27-year old Bavarian is known as a hard working forward. He scored 4 goals and 13 assists in 53 games.

Darryl Boyce
As today, it is unclear whether Boyce stays in Ingolstadt. The 32-year old Canadian signed with the Panthers one year ago. The passionate worker and technical strong center scored 11 goals and 20 assists in 48 games. ERC and Boyce agreed on postponing the further talks.
