Good performance, but a loss anyway
The Panthers had a big fight with top-runner Eagles Mannheim. At the end Mannheim got the three points. Both coaches wer satisified, because their teams performed well.
"We played a very good third period, it's a pity, that we got punished for for our bad first period", said ERC-Coach Larry Huras.
The Eagles scored in powerplay, bur five minutes later, Brandon Buck tied the game. Mannheim came back and scored the 2:1 by Ronny Arendt, it was a shorthanded goal.
During a powerplay Ingolstadt tied the game again. Patrick Hager was the scorer.
"One more time, it was a big fight between these two teams", said Mannheim's Coach Geoff Ward.
Markus Kink decided the game with his goal in 47th minute. The bad conversion of chances impeded, that Ingolstadt gets some points.
