Contract extension: Mike Collins

ERC Ingolstadt extends the contract with Mike Collins. The 27-year old US-American forward is now under contract until 2020. Collins is currently top scorer of the team.

"They brought me in to be a defensive guy. I have proved that I can play in a offensive line, too", says the Boston, Massachusetts, native adding that his line with C Brett Olson and LW John Laliberte works together well.

Sports Director Larry Mitchell managed to get Collins from DEL-rival Krefeld Pinguine in summer. He says Collins has fully fulfilled his expectations working hard, killing penalties and scoring goals. "Mike always gives his heart", stresses Mitchell, "he is a great team player."

Collins has become a favourite amongst the Panthers-fans in the last months. His fiancée Alexandra and him plan their wedding. Congrats, Mikey!
